In case of severe weather we will always aim to keep the Academy open. If you are concerned about the conditions we suggest you listen to local radio – Academy FM 107.8, Heart, BBC Radio Kent and KMFM - for information or check our website. In the event of school closure a notice will be placed here.

Should it become necessary during the course of the day for students to go home we will endeavour to advise you, but ask that you refrain from calling us.

Despite our assurance that the Academy will be open, we would ask that you make your own judgement as to whether it is safe to send your child to school depending upon the conditions where you live.

During any period of severe weather, we will try and operate as normal an Academy day as possible whilst at all times ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff is of paramount importance.
