dance-showThe Marlowe Academy has a designated, specialist status as a Creative Arts and Enterprise Academy which means creating a challenging environment in which to raise standards of achievement in the areas of Art and Design, Music, Dance, Drama and Enterprise subjects. Our specialist status provides cross curricular learning opportunities as staff are encouraged to have an Enterprise and Creative Arts focus within all subjects taught at the Academy.

Additional enrichment and learning opportunities are also provided through links with local businesses and interactions with the tenants of the Marlowe Innovation Centre within the grounds of the Academy. In addition Kent Foundation come in regularly to provide seminars and workshops for students and Sixth Form students were recently involved in assisting to arrange a business event for the Korean Embassy in London.

Various performing arts events take place throughout the year including concerts and plays in the Marlowe Academy Theatre and students are due to work with the recently opened Turner Contemporary art gallery next year to design creative products, bringing Enterprise and the Creative Arts together.
