Oversubscription Criteria
If the number of preferences for the school is more than the number of places available, places will be allocated in the following priority order:
1. Students in Public Care.
2. Students with specific educational or social needs evidenced by professional advice.
3. Nearness of children's home to school. We use the distance between the child's permanent address and the school, measured in a straight line using Ordnance Survey address point data. No places will be allocated on the basis of ability or aptitude. The Academy is a comprehensive school for youngsters of all abilities and backgrounds.
