Marlowe Academy Sixth Form

Expectations

You have every chance of succeeding in the 6th Form and indeed, many of our students have gone to achieve great careers or to attend University.

However, being accepted onto a course does not guarantee success. We place many demands upon our 6th Form students and expectations are high.

As a 6th Form student at the Marlowe Academy you are expected to:

  • Participate in discussion and group work as these are part of the learning process and you will be expected to bring your experiences to these situations.
  • Aim for 100% attendance and be punctual to all lessons. Attendance and punctuality will have a direct impact on your non-timetabled study hours, as if attendance is cause for concern then you will be expected to attend full time from 8.50am-5pm.
  • Be enthusaistic and committed. As you have chosen to be in the 6th Form you will actively and positively participate in the 6th Form and enjoy it!
  • Be a role model for students in years 7-11; your behaviour should provide a positive example for them.
  • Attend all timetabled and additional sessions including learning coach periods, assemblies, study centre sessions, subject classes and any additional events or activities.
  • Meet all coursework and assignment deadlines and act on feedback given.
  • Work with and respect fellow students and staff working with you at the Marlowe Academy.
